The weather blow hot and cold to-day but we were all warmed by the love which the Wiccs woofs gave us. Long walks for all were the order of the day thanks to Julia, Karen and Dave (with Polo and Bonnie), Michael (with Homer and Marge), Julie (with Oz), Eleanor (with Shadow) and Sharon.
Merlin the lurcher was happily playing in the enclosure with Fifi, Lennie and Prince but still managed to send out pleading looks to his Uncle Raymond, so was taken for his usual run.
Little Lassie chose her new owner! She went off home to 7 acress, a bungalow and a bed by the Aga. What a lucky girl but she deserves it.
A great day spend with lovely dogs and peeps. Thanks everyone.

A huge Thank You to Julia for keeping me company today.
The sun was shining and spring was definitely in the air. As you can imagine with just the two of us we never stopped, except for a quick sarnie, and it certainly feels as if we have walked miles as we walked around the fields with the gorgeous woofs. As ever they were giving out liberal doses of slobbery kisses and waggy tails. I know that we both enjoyed many cuddles at the famous "cuddle corner". Sharkey Jess was hilarious and her rather pointy nose got into all sorts of place, making me laugh and then I laid down and she promptly lay full stretch along me..........until she spotted Julia with Lassie and she felt the need to get her "handbag" at the ready , she is hilarious.
Oh dear, we are both in love. Julia with Bert and me with Mabel . If only I'd got room for another. Someone is going to have a real poppet when she chooses her family. Of course all the woofs are lovely, in their own funny unique way. But sadly no visitors today, it seems to be quiet at the moment, but hopefully with the better weather coming, maybe more folk will be looking for a furry addition to their family.
It was good to see Paul getting back to his normal self following his recent illness, and today he was busy errecting an outside run which I'm sure the woofs will enjoy using......if the summer ever arrives ! Prince, Fifi, Lenny and Merlin tried it out and they were really funny to watch as Lenny + Merlin were playing like puppies, whilst Fifi was flirting with Prince who couldn't believe his luck

Mr Sunshine visits
Hooray, Mr Sunshine came out to-day. A very big thank you to Julia, Lins, Sue, Kimberley and Katie who enjoyed walking the woofs in the sun. There was much wagging of tails, kisses and licks and rolling in the grass going on (by the woofs, of course). A really happy bunch of dogs. We were able to give some of them really long walks and most of them had two walks. It was a pleasure to be out.
There were no visitors to-day but one little girl was adopted :partytime so watch out for news of this from her new mum, who has joiined the Failed Fosters Club! Great news.
A lovely day in good company, both canine and human. Thanks again everyone.

Another good day walking the lovely woofs and spending time in their company. Never a dull moment, lots of happy faces and waggy tails, both from the newbies, Mabel, Wally and Bert, and the long termers Prince, Fifi, Piper and Sid. Earmuffs needed for the scruffy trio, Ronnie, Alice and Buzz who were in fine voice. Roxy +Russell were up to their usual tricks of tying everyone, including themselves up in knots !!
I think that the highlight of the day, although I missed it, was of the very shy Buddy playing with the imfamous LennyB whilst they were walking together. I know this caused a "leaky eye" moment by those who witnessed it. This is such a huge step for Buddy who is a very scared boy, whereas LennyB is such a comic and loves to play and is such a laid back boy.
One adoption today , and Shep looked very smug reclining on the back seat of the car as he left with his new family. Have a lovely time in your new home.
However Shep's space was not empty for long as a very sad call came through of the sudden death of a person who had adopted a Wiccs girl and no one was able to care for this girlie. So she was soon on her way over to us as Wiccs provide a lifeline as will always find room for any of their woofs if they need to come back.
A big thank you to Julia, Lins, Sharon, Ros and our latest walker and collie addict Kimberely. Your time and company much appreciated.

Fifi a diva!
A very big thank you to Sharon, Julia, Eleanor, and also to Jenny who popped in with Buck and Jasper to help out for a while. The dogs were in good form to-day, enjoying walking around the fields without getting covered in mud. Having walked Bert to--day, I have joined his fan club. Sadly, there were no visitors to-day.
Just before we left, we were privileged to hear Wiccs' very own soprano in full voice. Yes, accompanying a piano concerto being played on the barn radio, was MISS FIFI. Wonderful! You have to hear it to believe it.

The sun came out today !!....
Hip, Hip , Hip, Hooray ..........the sun came out today
What a difference,!, shirt sleeves instead of thick fleeces+ gloves. No muddy paws either !
Just lots of woofs enjoying a stroll in the sun, some cuddles and quick brush to get rid of their thick winter coats.
A huge "thank you" to Julia, Lins, Kimberely, Sue with Girlie[looking fab], Raymond, Gillian+mum Margaret with Elsa+Blake . Great to see you all, your time and company much appreciated.
I think its fair to say that we are all in "love" with new boy Bert, a real charmer, all pockets/cars searched on leaving ! But in our eyes they are all charmers and stars, each with their own unique personality, but with so much love and licks to give.
Two sets of visitors, Well done Amber on choosing your new family, and the other folk met a few woofs and hopefully will come back at a later date.

We had a very enjoyable walking the wonderful woofs. Sunshine with a few snow flurries, perfect walking conditions. What more could anyone want ? lots of waggy tails, slobbery kisses and muddy paws to warm us up !! A couple of newbies, Mr "smiley" face Rocky, and gentle Amber, plus lots of the "old" faithfuls, Mikey, Prince, Fifi, Piper, Cody and how could I forget the hilarious LennyB, always guaranteed to make us laugh.
No visitors today, BUT, a fantastic 5 adoptions yesterday !! wow, and I was lucky enough to wave them all off with their new families. Well done, Clio, Elsa, Lucy, Marge+Homer, have lots of fun in your new homes.
It was very strange seeing so many empty beds today, but no doubt there will soon be more new faces as I know the waiting list increases every week.!
A huge thanks to my helpers, Lins, Raymond, Gillian, Barbara with Benjy and new walker Kimberly, your help and company was much appreciated, thanks for a great day.
